A little history...
"Passionate about drawing, fashion and painting, the thirst for creation has always been an integral part of my daily life. Long afternoons spent in the company of my aunt trying my best to copy the silhouettes of fashion models she used to draw so well... countless hours watching and keenly trying to copy my father's paintings and all the evenings spent in the sewing workshop helping my mother, who was trying to finish her orders... such are the memories that make up my childhood! "
Makenna art & design is therefore a logical continuation of a long family history. Thus, the birth of the project is the product of a family collaboration made up of members with critical opinions who work to realize each creation with meticulousness and passion.
Our philosophy
Makenna art & design is a concept that brings together several closely related and complementary artistic fields. It was born from a family collaboration and a common passion for artistic creation.
Through modern cuts, we focus on making clothes out of African wax in order to integrate it in the everyday wardrobe to enhance its beauty and cultural value.
From custom-made pieces, for those who prefer discretion, to entirely hand-made pieces, we pay special attention to details and careful finishing.
We adapt ourselves to our clients' lifestyles to create clothing that can be worn for any occasion: dancing parties, work, outings with friends, weddings…
Inspiration
Lovers of travels, of discovering other horizons and cultures, the desire to learn and add new knowledge to a body of knowledge that builds and evolves over time, is our motto. Inspiration comes to us at any time, whether it is on a restaurant terrace or during an enriching discussion. We also draw our inspiration from dance, music, literature ... and all the exciting things and people around us!
